The Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO, Taiwan’s representative office in Washington) will be hosting free movie screenings in northwest D.C. on Friday and Saturday evenings May 30, and May 31, 2008. The screenings are part of a series of events to commemorate the 120th Anniversary of the beautiful and historic Twin Oaks estate on Woodley Road — a former residence to nine Republic of China ambassadors which is retained by Taiwan’s government to entertain distinguished guests. Both nights a feature-length film from Taiwan will be shown on the big screen on the estate’s expansive south lawn. Come join us with your family and friends for a wonderful evening of entertainment under the stars.

For updated info, as well as a flyer and plot synopsis for each of the two movies, please visit the Twin Oaks page on the TECRO website at www.taiwanembassy.org/us. Click on the “Twin Oaks Estate” banner at the bottom of the page.
