Georgetown University admitted 12% of applicants applying for the undergraduate Class of 2029, according to a university spokesperson.
Georgetown received about 26,800 total applications, according to application results sent through an online portal and mailed letters. The admitted class includes students from all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Guam, American Samoa and Puerto Rico, along with students attending schools in 58 other countries.

The university did not release further, more specific data on how many applications it accepted, the demographics of its admitted class or admissions for each undergraduate school.
In December, Georgetown admitted 11% of early action first-year applicants, or 917 of 8,254 applicants, up from 10.3% the previous year.
The decisions, announced March 25, came one day after The Hoya confirmed Georgetown University will begin accepting the Common Application in the Fall 2026 application cycle. Applicants to the Fall 2025 application cycle will complete an independent application unique to Georgetown, just as all previous applicants did. Georgetown is one of only a few top-ranked colleges not currently using the Common App.
This also marks the second admissions cycle since the Supreme Court limited the use of race-based affirmative action in college admissions in a June 29, 2023, decision. Georgetown admitted fewer Black, Asian and Hispanic students to the Class of 2028 than in previous admission cycles, according to data from an Oct. 9, 2024, university press release.
