If you miss your pet dog, cat or alpaca from home, stop by Georgetown Weeks of Welcome’s Petting Zoo this Saturday, Sept. 14! Experience the wonders of animals up close and on campus from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on the lawn. Pet your worries away and bring a friend to share the joy.
Old Rag Day Hike
Georgetown University may not be in the Shenandoahs, but Hoyas can still get there! If you’re craving a good hike after a month of classes, sign up for Outdoor Education’s Old Rag Day hike. From 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 14, you will be transported to, guided through and given the opportunity to explore the most well-known 10-mile hike in the Shenandoah Mountain Range.
The Motherload Market Pop Up!
Ready to venture beyond our campus gates and down into the Foggy Bottom area? Visit the Western Market this Saturday to see the Motherload Market Pop Up, dedicated to jewelry, clothing, records, gifts and more! They are open from 12:00-6:00 p.m. Sept. 14, and you can see what else the historical Western Market has to offer.
Dupont Circle’s Farmers Market
Dupont Circle is the place to be on Sundays (including Sept. 15)! From 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., the Dupont Circle’s Farmers Market will be in full swing with local farm goods, artisan cheeses, gluten-free baked goods, cut flowers and fresh-roasted coffee. Walk along 20th Street NW, between Massachusetts and Connecticut Avenues, to peruse your options!
