H1N1 Vaccine Distributed at Law Center

*Updated December 4, 7:44 a.m.*

Georgetown University has now received 3,000 doses of the 9,000 doses of H1N1 vaccine that were originally ordered.

The university began distributing a shipment of the vaccine Wednesday morning at the Georgetown University Law Center to students, faculty and staff who are under age 25 or at high risk, according to an e-mail from James Welsh, assistant vice president for student health.

The shipment, provided by the D.C. Department of Health, contained 1,900 doses of the H1N1 vaccine.

The remaining doses were administered in the former Center Grill area of the Leavey Center on a first-come, first-serve basis to students, faculty and staff who have been designated members of the high-risk group on the main campus Thursday. This group includes people under age 25, pregnant women, health care workers and people with certain medical conditions.”
