Dead Sea Scrolls: The Exhibition
The Museum of the Bible is featuring a new exhibit that showcases some of the infamous Dead Sea Scrolls, a set of ancient Jewish manuscripts from the Second Temple period. On its 75th anniversary tour, the scrolls include the Bible’s oldest surviving manuscripts. Though most are mere fragments, their discovery has been extremely monumental for Abrahamic religions. Witness them for yourself with tickets for $34.99. The exhibit is open from now through September.
Contemporary Art at the Folger
Make your way down to the Folger Shakespeare Library to see four awarded fellows’ artwork. Shown as part of the exhibit of contemporary art at the Folger, these exceptional artists come in and speak firsthand about their experiences and processes. The artwork follows a cohesive theme, with each piece relating to the Folger collection. The exhibition runs until April. Admission is free!
