It’s a word that gets tossed around social media daily, but on a college campus, wellness sometimes seems unattainable. Sleep is scarce, everyone is stressed-out and it is genuinely possible to go an entire week without consuming a vegetable. In the age of “that girl” TikToks and endless night routine Twitter threads, college students are more exposed to the concept of wellness than ever, but sometimes taking care of yourself at Georgetown can feel like an additional course load.
From physical fitness to mental wellbeing and everything in between, this issue celebrates the act of trying to take care of yourself even when it feels impossible. Here’s to meditating in the John Main Center, sleeping deeply and maybe even taking a yoga class at Yates before the semester comes to a close. It may not be perfect and instagrammable, but at the end of the day, wellness is worth it, whatever it looks like.
