GWOW’s Hoya Goats and Carnival
Georgetown Weeks of Welcome (GWOW) is back with a slew of great on-campus events this weekend! Join GWOW on Friday, September 5, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to meet and spend time with goats on Copley Lawn, and on Saturday, September 6, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Copley Lawn to play field games and picnic with friends!
The Library of Congress’s annual National Book Festival is back this Saturday, September 6, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Mount Vernon Square. Come meet and hear from over 85 authors, poets and illustrators. This year’s speakers include R.L. Stine, the bestselling author of “Goosebumps,” and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, an incredible feminist essayist and author of “Americanah.” No registration or tickets are necessary!
Georgetown University Farmers Market
The weekly Georgetown University Farmers Market (GUFM) returns on Wednesday, September 10! Stop by Red Square between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to support local restaurants, try new foods, stock up on produce and enjoy your lunch in the sun. Check out GUFM’s Instagram for vendor updates and information.
Wander along Wisconsin Avenue on Friday, September 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. to catch the fourth annual Georgetown Art All Night.
