– Georgetown’s 60 percent shooting Saturday night set a Petersen Events Center record. Before that, Pittsburgh had held 68 consecutive opponents under 50 percent shooting.
– Georgetown shot 73 percent from the field in the first 10 minutes of the game.
– The Hoyas trailed 41-32 at halftime, the first time the Hoyas have gone into halftime facing a deficit this season.
-With the win, Pittsburgh is now the only undefeated team remaining in the Big East. The Panthers have lost only six games in five seasons at Petersen Events Center.
– This loss marks only the second time the Hoyas have ever scored 69 points and lost under John Thompson III. The only other instance came at the hands of Syracuse in 2005 when the Orange won 78-73 over the Hoyas in overtime.
– Jeff Green became the 37th Georgetown player to reach 1,000 points for his career with his 15 points on Saturday night. He currently has exactly 1,000 points.
