A female student reported a sex offense in West Georgetown early Thursday morning, according to a Public Safety Alert released by the Department of Public Safety.
The student told DPS that at approximately 6:43 a.m., an unidentified male entered her residence on the 1300 block of 36th Street, lay down in her bed and placed his hands on her, according to the PSA.
The student challenged the suspect, at which point he exited the bedroom, closing the door behind him, according to the PSA.
The student did not sustain any injuries, according to the PSA.
The suspect is described as a white male with wet brown hair.
DPS declined to comment, except to say that the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the incident.
