Juniors, Seniors Draw For Housing Tomorrow

A new housing selection process has allowed more students to anticipate whether they will spend their junior year on and off campus. Approximately 891 rising seniors and 927 rising juniors received eligibility to live on campus with 227 rising seniors and 14 rising juniors on the waitlist.

Karen Frank, vice president for facilities and student housing, said that some students with eligibility have not signed up for the singles or apartment selection, which could cause problems later in the housing selection process for other students.

Frank said that while the housing department has worked to notify waitlisted students before the selection period so that they can join with a group of friends, 290 seniors and 222 juniors have eligibility but have not signed up for any housing selection.

“We’re trying to impress on people that if they don’t want to use their eligibility, they should let us know before the housing selection so that people on the waitlist can get notified quickly,” Frank said.
