The Institute of Politics and Public Service hosted a talk with Senior Adviser to President Obama Valerie Jarrett, moderated by IPPS fellow Buffy Wicks, in Copley Formal Lounge on Tuesday.

Runners in costume took part in Sigma Phi Epsilon’s annual 5K Against Domestic Violence fundraiser benefitting Virginia nonprofit Doorways for Women and Families on Friday. Campus organizations such as Take Back the Night and Club Swimming were also official event supporters.

Senior defender and co-captain Cole Seiler scored the game-winning goal against Creighton on Thursday to help the Hoyas clinch the regular season Big East conference title. This was Seiler’s second goal of the year.

Senior goalkeeper Emma Newins recorded three saves in Georgetown’s 3-1 victory over Creighton last Friday. Newins has recorded 45 saves thus far in the 2014-15 season and boasts a .682 save percentage.

Freshman outside hitter Liv King has recorded 246 kills on the season, averaging 2.51 kills per set. King recorded her first career double double in Georgetown’s 3-2 win over Seton Hall on Oct. 30.

Junior forward Brett Campbell scored a goal in Georgetown’s 2-1 win over Creighton on Thursday. Campbell has four goals on the season.

The Halcyon House, located on the corner of 34th and Prospect streets NW, is one of the supposedly haunted stops on the Ghosts of Georgetown tour, a mile-long trip following M Street and capturing the ghastly and ghoulish history of the neighborhood.

Despite a large job market, Washington, D.C., ranks low for attractiveness to young workers, although it remains the most popular city for recent Georgetown alumni.
