Swimming and Diving

Last weekend, the Georgetown men took second place at the Potomac Relays, hosted by American University. Junior David Ballinger led the runner-up finish by contributing to two first-place relay teams. Sophomore Wes Going qualified for the Big East championships in the 3×100 yard backstroke with his time of 55.26s. George Mason took first with 342 points to 324 for Georgetown.

The women’s side took fourth of five teams with sophomore Lauren Alito qualifying for the Big East championships with her time of 1:00.69 in the 3x100yd backstroke relay. Navy cruised to a victory, with a 32-point advantage over second-place George ason.
