What is the most interesting part of your job?

Georgetown students, of course – their vitality, kindness and intellectual curiosity.

What’s the most difficult part of your job?

Dealing with the misunderstandings between our students and our neighbors. There are wonderful people on both sides of the town-gown divide.

What’s your proudest moment?

Anything involving my family, but if I have to pick one moment, my children’s graduations.

Who would you most like to meet?

Thurgood Marshall – for his courage, intelligence, patriotism and reputation as a great storyteller.

What do you like best about Georgetown?

Our remarkable Jesuit tradition that engages us in the issues of our time and fosters a community that encourages us to respect and care for each other.
