DCAF+Preview+2013

For those of you who don’t have friends in a cappella groups incessantly pressuring you to buy tickets to DCAF, 4E’s got you covered with a quick rundown of the event.

The DC A Cappella Festival (DCAF) is an annual fall concert held in Gaston Hall over two weekends, hosted by the Georgetown GraceNotes and the Georgetown Phantoms. The programs feature songs ranging from oldies to rock to pop, so there’s something for everyone.

This weekend’s performance (November 2nd) hosted by the GraceNotes will feature Georgetown groups like the Phantoms, Superfood, the Chimes, and two guest groups, the University of Maryland’s Generics and Villanova’s Spires.

Next weekend (November 9th) hosted by the Phantoms will feature the GraceNotes, Saxatones, Capitol G’s, as well as the NYU N’Harmonics and the Yale Whiffenpoofs. The groups will premiere brand new songs, so you’ll definitely want to go at least one night for an awesome performance.

Tickets are only $8 for students ($10 general admission) and can be bought from the GraceNotes and the Phantoms in Red Square from 10am-4pm during the two weeks before the shows, or online here. The second show is notorious for selling out early after people realize they missed the first weekend, so buy your tickets today and don’t miss out on one of the best a cappella performances of the year!
