Are you looking for a trendy reasonably priced restaurant that gets you out of the Georgetown bubble? Are you a tapas enthusiast? Do you have an appreciation for the finer things?

If you answered yes to all of these, then I have the perfect place for you. Located along 8th St. in Capitol Hill, just a few doors down from the beloved Ted’s Bulletin, Cava Mezze is the new place to be. Serving tapas sized portions of fresh and authentic Greek food, Cava Mezze gives you a high end dining experience without having to break the bank. The portions are enough to share between two or three friends, which is perfect if you’re looking to try several things off the menu.

When I decided to make the easy journey to Capitol Hill with two other friends, we decided to order 6 dishes, which was more than enough. Our favorite dishes were the lamb meatballs, the cauliflower baked in Greek yogurt and truffled parsley crumbs and the mini gyros pita. Cava Mezze incorporates locally grown produce and simple flavors into their well presented dishes that leave one feeling satisfied and healthy.

This restaurant has received numerous outstanding reviews and is now one of my favorite restaurants in DC. Unfortunately, many people are catching on to this restaurant’s amazing food, so a reservation is highly recommended.
