April 20, 2010: Thumbs Down

**Explosive Delays:** Georgetown students studying abroad are facing difficulties returning home as ash from Iceland’s erupting volcanoes continues to inhibit air travel over European countries. *Thumbs Down*

**Rainy Days:** Despite the poor weather conditions, Relay for Life went ahead as scheduled marking its fourth year of leading the campus community in the fight against cancer. *Thumbs up*

**Bad Taste:** The publishing group Penguin Group Australia recently reprinted 7,000 copies of its book “Pasta Bible” to fix a misprint in a recipe which called for “salt and freshly ground black people” – instead of pepper. *Thumbs Down*

**Stalled Re-Entry:** Weather concerns forced the space shuttle Discovery to delay its scheduled return to Earth on Monday. Hopefully, better weather today will allow the ship’s two-week flight to end. *Thumbs Down*

**Commercial Snafu:** Microsoft faces criticism for its new advertisement for the Kin phone. Consumer groups were concerned that the commercial briefly showed a young male sexting with the phone. *Thumbs Down*”
