Staffer of the Week: Katherine Foley

Once a week, The Hoya recognizes a staffer that has done a particularly awesome job – now you can get to know about them too. As part of our Leavey 421 series, we’ll be posting quick interviews with each Staffer of the Week on Tuesday nights (and occasionally, when things are super busy, on Wednesday night).

Name: Katherine Foley
Position on The Hoya: Opinion Editor
School: SFS
Year: 2014
Major: STIA
Hometown: Wilmington, DE

What did you do to earn Staffer of the Week?
“I interviewed a lot of GUSA candidates and rewrote an editorial at 10 p.m. the night before it was printed. That doesn’t sound late but it was. Also I want it known that I have a lot of office antics.”

What would you title your memoirs?
The Secret Life of the Duchess of Delaware. No. The Duchess of Delaware. Because in my spare time I am Kate Middleton, and I’m very proud of my home state.” (Ed note: Katherine wanted it known that she does not pretend to be Kate Middleton, she is Kate Middleton)

If you could be invisible for one day, what would you do?
“Easy – walk around naked.”

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
“Sitting, I hate sitting. Most chairs make my back hurt and I’m an active person. I hate being confined to sitting while I do stuff.”
