There were six robberies in the west Georgetown neighborhood Saturday evening, according to a public safety alert email the Georgetown University Police Department sent out shortly after 2 a.m. Nov. 1. No victims were injured and the suspects are still at large.
GUPD’s daily crime log from last year indicates that there were no robberies on Oct. 31, 2014.
The first two robberies occurred between 10:30 and 11 p.m. at 37th and N streets NW and 36th and Prospect streets NW. In both cases, males in masks stole the victims’ cell phones.
Additionally, there were three reported robberies between 10:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. around the 3000 to 3300 blocks of M Street NW.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, there was also an armed robbery with a gun around the 1100 block of 34th Street NW at 11:06 p.m.
